Bill Erwin (the Grumpy Old Man on 'Seinfeld') Dies at 96

Do you remember of Seinsfeld? Bill Erwin was the actor of Seinsfeld, as the Grumpy Old Man. Bill Erwin has been play on more than 250 TV and film, and In addition to Seinfeld, Bill Erwin appeared on a variety of TV shows.

You may also remember Bill Erwin for his role in “Somewhere in Time,” or perhaps you’ve seen one of his cameos in John Hughes’ films (Planes, Trains and Automobiles, She’s Having a Baby, Home Alone, and Dennis the Menace).
Erwin received an Emmy nomination for his performance in 'The Old Man' episode. In the show, Jerry Seinfeld volunteers to spend time with Fields through the Foster-A-Grandpa Program, but things don't quite go as planned.
Born in Texas in 1914, Erwin studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse and performed in stage productions around Los Angeles through the decades. He was also a self-taught cartoonist who saw his work published in The New Yorker, Playboy and Los Angeles magazine.
Bill Erwin died on December 29; he has two daughters, two sons and eight grandchildren.
