In regular meeting on Monday, the Cherry Creek School District Board of Education was set to consider a wide-ranging review of the district’s nutrition policy.

There is a name,he is Scott Siegfried as Cherry Creek Assistant Superintendent was scheduled to deliver the special report on food and nutrition during the January 10 meeting. The presentation comes less than a month after President Barack Obama signed the “Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010” into law. The federal legislation is designed to increase access to healthy food for low-income children, authorizing $4.5 billion in new funding for nutrition programs.
Rick Collier as Cherry Creek’s Executive Director of Facility Support, Siegfried’s report will highlight the district’s current nutrition guidelines and compare them to requirements spelled out in the federal legislation.

Monday’s meeting is also set to include a presentation from Assistant Superintendent Eric Flor on Thinking Maps, a new tool for teachers in the district.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM at Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, 11200 E. Orchard Ave. in Englewood.
