Earthquake Hawaii : Hawaii being shocked after the earthquake shake the island with Magnitude 3.6, and it happen on Thursday.

Honolulu has felt a minor earthquake centered 22 miles east-southeast of the capital of Hawaii.

The magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck the island at 2:12 p.m. local time on Thursday (7:12 p.m. EST) at a depth of 11.8 miles (19 km), according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

No immediate reports of injuries or damage have been made, according to The Associated Press.

Two and a half hours after the earthquake, 684 people had reported to the USGS that they felt the earthquake. The responses span from Hololulu, Pearl City, to Kula, which is 85 miles (136 km) from the epicenter.

The Hawaiian Islands are located on a hotspot—the source of volcanic activities at fixed points on the Earth’s surface, prone to volcanic eruptions, lava flows, and volcanism-linked earthquakes.

Thousands of earthquakes occur annually beneath the Island of Hawaii, according to the USGS.
