Obama Kill Switch, President Obama may have highlighted the need to expand broadband access in his last speech of the Union in the U.S. Congress, but he is also the market of Internet-killing powers, according to a latest news.

Popular news site shows that legislation, which may authorize the President to kill access to what is called today "critical infrastructure" to be re-introduced soon the Senate Judiciary Committee. The main sponsor of the bill is Sen. Susan Collins, Republican ranking member on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. According to news, the proposed legislation does not necessarily allow the president to close the Internet as a whole, and to protect against significant threats of cyber.

Recently, as reported news, Obama took the opportunity during his State of the Union speech to emphasize the need for more reliable high-speed wireless services to meet the growing demands of consumers and organizations, as well as to apply to rural areas.

"Over the next five years, we will make it possible for businesses to deploy a new generation of high-speed wireless coverage to 98 percent of all Americans," Obama said. "It's not just fast Internet, and fewer dropped calls. It's about connecting any part of America in the digital age."

This is not the first time the president called on to expand broadband access. news reported in June that Obama signed a memorandum calling for the National Telecommunications and Information (NTIA), in cooperation with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), to make 500 megahertz of the spectrum available for fixed and mobile wireless broadband next 10 years.

Thinking that the release of more air would improve America's economic competitiveness, create jobs and help maintain America's leadership in technological innovation. Not to mention placing a growing demand today for Iphones, laptops and other mobile devices that connect to the Internet.
